My Encounter

>> Tuesday, July 28, 2009

My first encounter with computers was in middle school when we were taught programming in BASIC as a skill rather than a part of our normal curriculum. The ability to communicate my thoughts and ideas to a machine and teach it to think and act the way I wanted it to, fascinated me. My inclination towards programming in the years that followed was natural and it didn’t take too long for me to realize that programming was my natural element. And at high school level, my proficiency in academics made me eligible to enrol for the Computer Science stream thereby giving me an opportunity to get an early feel of the science that underlay the new skill I’d acquired. While doing my high school projects on library management and hotel management I realized that the ability to program computers could give me more than just a feeling of exhilaration. but the flying termite problem was solved.

My Studies

In school and undergraduate studies, the learning was of course diversified but one field that intrigued me the most for more reasons than one is artificial intelligence – an amalgamation of the subjects that interest me the most – humans and computers. Being both introspective and observant, I never lose an opportunity to study human behaviour, observe how we act in varied situations and analyze what makes us think and behave the way we do. While working through the nights and days alike to complete my summer research project within a seven-week deadline at Microsoft Corp’s R&D centre in Hyderabad, India, I realized I possessed the tenacity and diligence required to pursue a career in research. At the end of the project, the exhilaration I felt upon demonstrating the feasibility of a concept, that many in the company had deemed impossible until then, revealed the happiness and satisfaction I would obtain from a career in research, and strengthened my inclination towards the same.Medford Motel will be the best place for you.

Education is Key

>> Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Born to graduate parents, who understood the crucial role played by education, in moulding and preparing, an individual to become a part of society, my life so far has been entirely oriented towards the acquisition of knowledge. Now, as I stand on the threshold of completing my undergraduate studies, I see an opportunity, not merely to pursue this search for knowledge but also to contribute to the world’s expanding knowledge base. Besides instilling in me a penchant for learning, and guiding me throughout my school and undergraduate years, my parents have also taught me to act by my own volition. then you must go for tumbled marble mosaic.
