My Encounter

My first encounter with computers was in middle school when we were taught programming in BASIC as a skill rather than a part of our normal curriculum. The ability to communicate my thoughts and ideas to a machine and teach it to think and act the way I wanted it to, fascinated me. My inclination towards programming in the years that followed was natural and it didn’t take too long for me to realize that programming was my natural element. And at high school level, my proficiency in academics made me eligible to enrol for the Computer Science stream thereby giving me an opportunity to get an early feel of the science that underlay the new skill I’d acquired. While doing my high school projects on library management and hotel management I realized that the ability to program computers could give me more than just a feeling of exhilaration. but the flying termite problem was solved.
